About the Area
Richland Township is located within beautiful Bucks County and extends over twenty-one square miles. With its distinct neighborhoods, it borders the boroughs of Richlandtown and Quakertown and is in close proximity to Milford Township. Richland Township has kept its historical values and beliefs since 1734.
The Quakertown School District is made up of seven elementary schools, two middle schools, a freshmen center and a high school, along with a vocational technical school that serves the Upper Bucks County area. The Quakertown School District is a part of the Early Intervention program and the Intermediate Unit, which provides students with disabilities the special educational services they need to reach their full potential. The school district also focuses on gifted students by providing them with accelerated classes to keep them engaged. Not only are the Quakertown Schools focused on their students, they are focused on their environment. The Quakertown School District is the only school district in Bucks County to join the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Green Lights Program. By joining this program, Quakertown improved their schools with energy-efficient lighting that will reduce harmful air pollutants.
